The Session “Grand Royal”

Can somebody say the NFL is back! Well sort of.. three teams started training camp. But that gives us all the reason to talk some NFL football. We will mix in other sports as well for the Not Necessarily Sports Segment.

For Enter the Session we bring TM Powell on to review The Wolverine and more…

Total Beat Down features Jon Wheaton as we catch up on all things MMA.

We are live every Tuesday from 9-11pm. Give us a call at 347.838.8764. Click here to listen live or to the replay.

Ravens (+7) @ Patriots Total: 50

When the Ravens and Patriots prepare for a season the only goal is to win a championship. For the Ravens a key element to this equation was finally winning the AFC North and sweeping the series against the Steelers.

The Patriots are simply fantastic on offense. Multiple sets with the potential for the hurry up to be incorporated are just too much to handle… even for this Ray Lewis led defense. Lewis may even be a liability out in coverage against the TE duo of Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez.

Unfortunately for Baltimore they need to take one more step and take the #1 seed. The Ravens woes on the road continue and they fall short to Tom Brady and the Patriots 32 – 20.

Giants @ 49’ers (-2) Total: 41

San Francisco’s rise to the top of the NFC is largely due to rookie head coach Jim Harbaugh. His faith in Alex Smith and focus on defense and clock control has been the key to their success. This is a tempo and style of game that could favor the 49’ers.

The problem for San Francisco is they are facing the hottest team in the league with the NY Giants. The Giants have the ability to be a dynamic offense with the meteoric rise of their receivers in Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz.

Eli Manning proves he is an ‘Eli’te quarterback and leads the Giants to a rematch against the Patriots. My fiancée is a happy woman and the Giants win 24 – 20.
